Sexual health, including HIV
Sexual health, education and awareness is important from a young age, particularly in developing countries where there is often far more risk with far less support. Amend Foundation takes this cause very seriously, including both reproductive health education and family planning, as well as education and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
HIV is a global epidemic on a massive scale, but still far too many people across the globe take risky action that can lead to infection and spreading the disease. The problem is multifaceted and includes a lack of education that can have disastrous effects.
Another problem is the medical and social treatment of individuals dealing with HIV and AIDS. Proper care and education must be provided in this area as well.
Children need to learn from an early age about what to be aware of and how to take cautious, preventative measures at every step along the way. It’s an issue that affects life, death and well being, and worldwide programs on a massive scale need to be instituted and funded. By working community to community and region to region, Amend Foundation is able to positively educate and help children and individuals.
