Amend Foundation believes that one of the most important aspects of social development and progress in an individual family and throughout an entire community is economic security. Without economic security, individuals have to resort to any means possible in order to obtain sustenance and even basic well being. Without basic economic needs covered, children must abandon schooling and education and take on jobs, typically physical labor at low wages, or risk becoming involved with more profitable but illegal endeavors and groups. All of this creates a dangerous cycle of continued poverty, risk, violence and more.

There are many different ways that our programs help to economically provide for children and families, and that means when you donate you too can help in many different ways. We have programs designed to provide education and skills training so that jobs can be found and created, and so that families can provide for themselves. We help families and groups obtain small loans in order to create new businesses.

We help families deal with unexpected disasters and unfortunate circumstances so that children can stay in school and basic needs can be taken care of. We help individuals take advantage of sustainable food and energy production for themselves and their families, and teach them how to better plan for the future and other unforeseen events. All of this is just the beginning of how Amend Foundation plans to continue helping families and communities across the globe with their immediate and long term economic needs.
